What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how POG.com uses cookies and similar browser technologies. It should be read together with the POG Privacy Policy.
"Cookies" is used here as a convenient term for cookies, local storage and comparable browser-side technologies. Some are used directly by POG and some may be used by service providers whose content or services are loaded through POG.
POG browser storage
POG's interface currently uses a first-party language cookie so your selected language can persist between visits. The site also uses local storage for features that stay on your device, including saved favourite games and progress in the small POG header game.
These preference records are not POG accounts and are not intended to identify you by name. They remain in the browser until their configured lifetime ends, the feature replaces them, or you clear the site's browser data.
Consent and Sourcepoint
POG uses Sourcepoint as its consent management platform. Where a privacy regime applies, Sourcepoint can display a consent message and store the resulting privacy choices so POG and participating services can read the appropriate consent state.
On pages where a Sourcepoint privacy regime applies, a Privacy Manager link is available in the POG footer after the consent system is ready. You can use it to review or change the choices made through that system. The Privacy and Cookie Policy pages themselves remain readable without first opening a consent message.
Embedded Y8 games
On supported game profiles, POG does not create the Y8 game frame until you choose Play. The playable content is then loaded from Y8. Y8-provided game code, analytics or advertising services may use browser technologies according to the consent state and the rules that apply to the visitor.
POG provides the consent APIs expected by the embedded Y8 frame. Y8's own handling of information within its services is also described in the Y8 Privacy Policy.
Technology categories
Necessary and functional. Technologies needed to deliver pages, protect the service, remember requested interface settings or provide features such as local favourites.
Measurement. Technologies that help understand whether pages and game interactions work and how services are used. Where consent is required, these should follow the choice recorded by the consent manager.
Advertising. Technologies used to select, deliver, limit or measure advertising. Whether these are available and whether consent is required depends on the visitor's location, the service being used and the privacy choices that apply.
Your controls
Where the Sourcepoint Privacy Manager is available, use it to review consent choices. You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and local storage. Clearing POG browser data can remove your saved language, favourites and local interface progress.
Blocking all browser storage may prevent some preferences or third-party game features from working as expected.
Updates and contact
This policy may be updated as POG features, service providers or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current published version.
